Wild Food Cafe

Vegan food is fairly often an acquired taste: you don’t understand half the menu, you thought ‘shitake mushrooms’ was just a more polite way of saying ‘oh shit’ and how do you even milk an almond? Confusing. Usually.

Wild Food Cafe is nestled away in Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden: strong contender for the most colourful courtyard in London. Situated on the first floor, you get a wonderful view to people watch into the square. The interior is bright, the staff are smiley and the vegan food isn’t scary. We did spot someone wearing matching red crocs and socks though, which was scary.

We went for one of their salads of the day, the Wild Burger and possibly one of the best smoothie’s of our lives; White Zen. 10/10 for everything, even the trendy greens that we couldn’t identify.

The only possible downside? It won’t be the cheapest meal you ever eat. We think it’s worth the extra buck though.
