Long time no see! Welcome to the new ITF, kinda shiny and fun isn’t it? I spent a couple months working with the amazing Phil at Pipdig to create what your eyes are looking at now. It’s a little louder than you might be used to, but we’re not about being quiet at Into The Fold so that’s okay.
If you’re reading this, you’ve found your way to the Editor’s Blog – hi! As a lot of you know, this website was originally a fashion blog that I started when I was thirteen. I’m now twenty-one, and after a couple years away whilst I was running this site as an online magazine, I’ve decided to start blogging again on the side.
So, what have I been up to? Well, I just graduated with a Philosophy degree from Bristol University, and while the whole life plan is a little unclear, for the next year I’m going to be freelance writing and running this magazine full time. Like every other twenty-one year old, I have no clue what I’m doing but I know I love to write, so I’m starting with that. While the dream is obviously to live in a New York loft and look pensive all day wearing a black Dior ballgown, I expect the reality will look a lot more like me spending days on end inside my bedroom existing off of tea and old sushi and never moving out. The dream is alive, though.
However, you obviously won’t be seeing any of that, given that this space will mainly be about fashion and travels and while trend forecasters are saying that sushi rice stuck to your pyjamas is the next big thing, I think that might be too avant-garde for me. So yeah, welcome to the blog! I haven’t written a proper blog post in about 2 years so I’m a little rusty, but I’m really excited to be back.
On the photography side of things, most of what you’ll see will either be done by myself or the very talented Akemi Louise, who shot this post here. In terms of sponsored content and brand work, everything will be clearly disclosed and my own opinions.
In the meantime, enjoy the fact that a photoshoot with balloons is a great idea in theory but remember that balloons equals hair static, clearly pictured below.
