female illustrators1. Ana Jaks

Bristol-based and you can tell. Her art is bright and dynamic and we’re digging the contrasting colours.

“I love buildings, geometric shapes and oddly shaped furniture [and] I love work that’s inclusive […] especially empowering and celebrating women. Two female artists I love at the moment are Nina Chanel and Lakwena, everything they do is colourful, huge, inspiring and makes me want to get better at painting!”

2. Audrey Raphaële

Audrey’s graphics are super cool in their minimalism. Yas queen.

“I am first and foremost inspired by what I personally go through, what I read, and what I see everyday. For example, today I was attracted by the colours and shapes of a tote bag many girls have in Paris and it made me want to create something.”

3. Millie Woodcock

The pastels Millie uses and her cute little figures in woodland scenes never fail to make us smile.

“I have a collection of amazing picture books that I love to look through. I also love to go travelling and camping; being outside really inspires my work and it’s nice to get away from the computer.”

4. Eleanor Hardiman

Eleanor’s illustrations are so tranquil they add some much needed Zen to our busy feeds – and lives.

“I’m always thinking about work so life seeps into all the illos I do. I’m inspired by calligraphy , gardens, Japanese woodblock and other illustrators on social media.”

5. Amber Renfrey

Amber draws all manner of things, we love her witchy designs and most recently the sanitary pad piece.

“I like to challenge what femininity means and what is acceptable by working on illustrations that push our regular boundaries, from reclaiming icons associated with witchcraft as symbols of female empowerment, to openly discussing periods in a society that still finds them taboo. That being said […] you can create for no other reason than you fancied drawing. Your art can be anything you want and I fully embrace that.”
